About the Show

The show was founded more or less as a creative writing exercise – a “what if” that turned into “wait, we could do that.” The show name seems to tell you everything you need to know – someone dies in this elevator, but everything the title doesn’t tell you (Who? When? How? Why?) is what draws you into each story. This show was founded to play in this space and see how far we can go with this limit, and enjoying every part of the process along the way.Every season consists of 13 fully produced episodes, and in between seasons the show releases narrative microfiction stories. Each main episode is written by a different writer, contains new characters and a new story, and is brought to life with full sound design and scoring.
Season 1 is out in full, and season 2 releases bi-weekly starting on October 10, 2022.This podcast is produced by Tal Minear, with the assistance of an incredible cast and crew. You can find them in the show notes of each episode. Here are the bios of everyone involved in season one! Check back after season two airs for the bios of everyone involved in that one. All our visual art is done by Tal Minear, and our social media is run by them as well. The first season of SDITE was developed with Sound Escape Productions, but we have since gone fully independent.
